This piece of my work was the last sunset my husband saw before he died on August 30th, 2010. I donated it in his memory to The Hospice Center of Charleston located in Mt. Pleasant South Carolina.
The staff there was unbelieveably amazing to him as well as us his family. Inasmuch as he is a terrible loss to me and my son, the nurses and other staff made it slightly more bearable all the way until his end.
He told one of his friends the week before he died that he didn't think he had too many more sunsets left, which is why this was the "perfect" piece for me to thank the Hospice staff with and it was his last sunset....I had already called it "A Perfect Sunset"......Semper Fi
